That's my ebook

Oh can I even begin to tell you the sheer excitement I had when I logged in to my YCMT account this morning.

I actually had a seller account. Yes!!! That can only mean one thing...My ebook has been issued!!!

The comparisons are hard, but I think it lies somewhere in between your wedding day and your first born. Okay, maybe not that great, but you get where I am going with this.

If you get a chance to swing by, I would love for you to check it out.

Ty Bug's first day back

As many of you know, we just recently made the difficult decision to put Tyler back in public school.
I have Home schooled him since the 2nd month of school hoping that the one on one would be beneficial to him.

My son and I are a lot alike in so many ways. We are both hard headed as all get out and completely spoiled. We are also alike in, when we are done, we're done!!!
No more...Ca putt!!!

Well, about 2 weeks before the Christmas Holidays, he shut down on me. I was hoping that it was just the "I'm burnt out" thing that all kids go through about that time of year. Sadly, when break was over, it continued.

I had to make the decision fast because public schools started the 2nd semester immediately upon returning from break.

Today was his first day back...He said his friends were so excited about having him back and the teacher's welcomes were warm.

I wish you great success in all you do Sweet Boy...I love you =]

Drawstring Bag Pattern Debut

Happy Tuesday morning everyone.

I just wanted to pop in to share the great news!!! I have finally debuted my Drawstring Bag Pattern.

While waiting to hear back from You Can Make This, I have decided to list it in my Etsy Shop.

This Pattern is fantastic for the intermediate sewer and is a pattern that goes together quickly.

It has loads of pockets and is so customizable, it will be your favorite go to bag for any occasion.

a name is born

As so many close to me know, I have tossed around names to call myself for quite sometime now. I have had several that I have stuck with for awhile to see if they were what I was looking for, but sadly, they never worked out.

That all changed one sleepless night.
Laying in bed, I got to thinking...my street name is 27 Lane. I had an idea!!!

Studio Twenty Seven was born!!!

I love it!!!

This is the name I have been searching for, and it has been under my nose for 25 years...What
took me so long?

27 Lane is a little one lane, well, lane.
It originally had only 4 houses on it back in the early 80's when we moved here.
All the land on the left was just land. When we were kids, we used to play softball and football and have BB Gun wars. Those were such fun times and such great awesome memories.

I find it both sentimental and humbling at the same time to have my business called, Studio Twenty Seven, located on 27 Lane =]
